Honey Chicken - Chinese Main Course

Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp Plain flour
  • 1 piece Fresh ginger (finely grated)
  • 2 piece Garlic (crushed)
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 0.5 piece Lemon (juiced)
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 500 g Chicken breast (Tofu alternative)
    Alternative: tofu

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and coat in the flour.

  2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok over a medium-high heat. Add the chicken and stir-fry for 5-7 mins until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. Add the ginger and garlic to the pan and cook for 1 min more.

  4. Stir in the soy sauce, honey and lemon juice and cook for 2-3 mins until the sauce has thickened and is sticky.

  5. Serve immediately with rice and steamed broccoli.
