Ingredients

Ingredients for Air Fryer Chicken Wings with Honey and Sesame
  • 500 g Chicken wings (with tips removed)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp Runny honey
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 tsp Rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1 piece Spring onions (thinly sliced)
  • 67 Salt
  • 67 Black pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (180°C fan/gas mark 6).

  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with the olive oil, cornflour, salt and pepper until evenly coated.

  3. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches.

  4. Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken wings are golden brown and crispy.

  5. While the chicken wings are cooking, prepare the honey and sesame glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and toasted sesame oil.

  6. Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl and pour over the honey and sesame glaze. Toss to coat evenly.

  7. Return the glazed chicken wings to the air fryer basket and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until the glaze is sticky and caramelised.

  8. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced spring onion. Serve immediately.
