Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken wings (with tips removed)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp Runny honey
- 1 tsp soy sauce (or tamari)
- 1 tsp Rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
- 2 tsp sesame seeds (toasted)
- 1 piece Spring onions (thinly sliced)
- 67 Salt
- 67 Black pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
-
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (180°C fan/gas mark 6).
-
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with the olive oil, cornflour, salt and pepper until evenly coated.
-
Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches.
-
Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken wings are golden brown and crispy.
-
While the chicken wings are cooking, prepare the honey and sesame glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and toasted sesame oil.
-
Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl and pour over the honey and sesame glaze. Toss to coat evenly.
-
Return the glazed chicken wings to the air fryer basket and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until the glaze is sticky and caramelised.
-
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced spring onion. Serve immediately.
