Ingredients
- 250 g Dates
- 60 g Salted butter
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 125 ml Water
- 2 piece Eggs
- 125 g Sugar
- 180 g Flour
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 80 g Brown sugar
- 40 g Butter
- 100 ml Cream
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Soak the dates in hot water with baking soda for 10 minutes.

Cream together the salted butter and sugar.

Add the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

Incorporate the flour and baking powder.

Drain the dates and add them to the batter.

Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the pudding is baking, prepare the sauce by melting butter and brown sugar in a saucepan.

Stir in the cream and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.

Let the pudding cool slightly, then pour the sauce over it.

Serve warm.
