Robbia Apple Pie - Mexican Dessert

Ingredients

  • 6 piece Apple (Peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 1 cup Dates (Chopped)
  • 0.5 cup Walnuts (Chopped)
  • 0.25 cup Cherry (Halved)
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Butter (Cold, cubed)
  • 0.5 cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cold butter. Cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix apples, dates, walnuts, and cherries.

  4. Press half of the flour mixture into the bottom of a pie dish.

  5. Pour the apple mixture over the crust.

  6. Crumble the remaining flour mixture over the top.

  7. Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown and the apples are tender.

  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
