Coconut Sweet-Savory Cookies - Turkish Baking

Ingredients

  • 250 g Margarine
  • 2 Vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp coconut
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 piece Egg yolks (for dough)
  • 1 piece Egg whites (for topping)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 baking powder
  • 5 cup All-purpose flour (approximately)
  • 0 sesame seeds (for topping)
  • 0 nigella seeds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Mix margarine, vegetable oil, coconut, cinnamon, sugar, egg yolk, salt, and baking powder until homogeneous.

  2. Gradually add flour and knead until a non-sticky dough forms.

  3. Take walnut-sized portions, shape into balls, dip first in egg white, then in sesame-nigella mixture, and place on a baking tray.

  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown.
