Blue Cheese Sauce - French Sauce

Ingredients

  • 30 g All-purpose flour
  • 30 g Butter
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 100 g Blue cheese
  • 100 ml Heavy cream
  • 30 g Butter (Vegan option)
    Alternative: Margarine
  • 250 ml Milk (Vegan option)
    Alternative: Oat milk
  • 100 ml Heavy cream (Vegan option)
    Alternative: coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Add flour and stir continuously for 1 minute to create a roux.

  3. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth and thickened.

  4. Crumble blue cheese into the sauce and stir until melted.

  5. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat gently, do not boil.

  6. Serve immediately over your favorite dish.
